Villa les Hauts is a newly built cut stone property built in the traditional style, on a small exclusive prize-winning development overlooking the old village of Durban Corbieres in the Langudoc region of Southern France. The accomodation consists of two double and one twin bedroom, one ensuite shower/wc and a further bathroom and wc, living/dining room and kitchen, private heated swimming pool, sun deck and terraces for outdoor dining. The house is furnished very comfortably to a high standard.
There is Satellite TV receiving UK TV, DVD player and DVD library. In the kitchen there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and microwave. Outside seating for 6 in a sheltered terrace, with a landscaped garden with additional seating areas and views of the medieval Cathar Castle of Durban Corbieres.
The village has a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank, petrol station as well as a bar/restaurant and other local shops. There are other restaurants in nearby towns and villages and excellent seafood restaurants especially in the coastal regions.
Durban is an hour away from Carcassone and Perpignan airports, both served by Ryan Air, half an hour from Narbonne for access by high speed train. The motorway network is only half an hour away with access to the North to France, Italy and via the channel to England. To the South the Spanish border is an hour and a half away.
Durban Corbieres is in the heart of the Cathar country, and is in the middle of the Corbieres wine producing region. Twnety minutes away at Tuchan is the largest Fitou producer. Thirty minutes away to the East are the beautiful beaches of La Franqui and Leucate on the Mediterranean, two hours away to the West are the ski slopes of Font-Romeu in the Pyrenees Orientales. The historic walled city of Carcassonne is only an hour away. All the main Cathar Castles are within easy driving distance.
The Mediterranean coast is only about a half an hour away, with some beautiful coastal resorts going further South, including Collioure which is about 1.5 hours but well worth a visit.
For children there are Aqua Parks on the coast and for the more sporty there are places for water skiing and other water sports activities.
In the house there is a handbook with guidance on all the equipment and also lots of maps and local guides.
You will be met by experienced French/English speakers who will show you round the property and hand over the keys.
All linen including beach towels is provided and for stays of multiple weeks linen will be changed every week. There will be a welcome pack on arrival.
Payment is in Euros.
Rental Policy
Payment for whole weeks only. All linen provided. Cleaning once a week. Breakage and damage deposit required in advance.

Saturday between 4.00pm and 7.00pm
Additional Rate and Deposit Information
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Deposit 30% to secure booking. Balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. Breakage deposit of 250 Euros payable in advance refundable in full within 2 weeks of end of stay if no damage.
