Casa Verde is a unique waterfront getaway in the true Mexican hacienda style, with a 16 foot palapa (palm leaf) ceilings, stone walls, and courtyard with a fountain, lushly landscaped grounds and mature palm trees. This charming and spacious 3200 plus-square-foot casa consists of a Main House with three-bedrooms, three-baths, and a Guest House with one-bedroom, one-bath. Large porches overlook the Sea of Cortez, the desert and the magnificent Laguna Mountains. Casa Verde is perfectly situated on the beach to take full advantage of the cooling afternoon breezes. The warn asure blue waters of the Sea of Cortez are one of natures special wonders There are separate air conditioning units and ceiling fans in every room. All water on the premises is from clean and safe Artesian Wells.

The beauty of Baja's land and sea will take your breath away. Casa Verde is located on the warm sandy beaches of Rancho Leonero on the East Cape of Baja, Mexico, about one hour north of the Los Cabos International Airport. We are 8 miles south of the town of Los Barriles, conveniently located halfway between La Paz, to the north, and Cabo San Lucas, to the south. This area along the Sea of Cortez has long been a favored hideaway for anglers, adventurers and those who want to get away from the crowds.

During your stay at Casa Verde you will feel comfortable in the extra large rooms with 16 ft. vaulted palapa ceilings and the authentic Mexican appointments, from the leather and wood furniture to the artistic tile work. The casa's rustic charm will add to the enjoyment of your stay. Large plate-glass windows and sliding glass doors give you a view and access to the water and the beach. From the comfort of the porch, you can watch a variety of birds ride the air currents, pelicans dive for food, and fish jump and splash. The sea is alive and full of wonderful surprises.

In the Main House, the Great Room is the heart of the hacienda. This very spacious room has a high 16 foot palapa ceiling that covers the fully equipped kitchen, the dining room, and the inviting living room. The Great Room and the connecting beach verandah is where everybody gathers to enjoy the bounty of Baja and the companionship of family and friends.

The spacious Master Suite has a king-size bed with a locally handmade headboard and table lamps, a 16-foot palapa ceiling, a sea view, sliding glass doors to the beach and a custom cedar walk-through closet. The oversized Master Suite bathroom has a large Mexican-tiled shower, a Mexican tiled vanity with a beautiful talavera sink and a separate relaxing Jacuzzi bath that looks into an enclosed private garden.

In the Main House, one of the two Guest bedrooms has a king-size bed; the other Guest Bedroom has twin beds. In the hacienda style, both bedrooms have their own keyed entrances that open to the courtyard. The very large bathroom is decorated in colorful Mexican tiles with a beautiful talavera sink and matching appointments. The oversized decorative tile shower, sixteen foot palapa ceilings and rustic art work finishes off this unique room.

The charming Guest House has a magnificent 360-degree view of the Sea of Cortez, the desert and the magnificent Sierra Laguna Mountains. The fully-equipped kitchen and the living room, looks out on the water. This one-bedroom house features a king-size bed and panoramic view windows. To add to your relaxation, there are two decks with a table, chairs, and chaise lounges for you to read, rest, or enjoy outdoor dining.

The views of the desert, mountains, and the sea are spectacular. Just out the sliding glass beach doors, enjoy fantastic fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, sunbathing, and peaceful walks on the miles of uncrowed beaches. The East Cape is world famous for it's great fishing. Experience the heart pounding excitement of catching a marlin. You can also catch sailfish, dorado, tuna, whaoo, roosterfish, amberjack, grouper, triggerfish and more. Charter boats with experienced captains are available just a few hundred yards down the beach.

To further help you relax and enjoy your stay, Casa Verde's caretaker and housekeeper will come twice a week to care for the casa and its grounds. This service is included. A cook is available for preparing meals for an extra charge. Ask for rates.

Casa Verde consists of two buildings: A Main House and a Guest House. The houses can be rented separately or together. There is a 5 night minimum when renting both houses together.
