We have a number of rental units available both in town and in the country. This site will be focusing on the Executive and the Family Units. Contact me for info and additional pictures on other units available. Most of our units come with free WiFi

Property Details

The Executive, is nestled among 20 year old evergreens that tower 30 feet above you. This beautifully appointed apartment was decorated with the executive in mind. The 1100 square foot floor plan offers a queen-size bed in the master bedroom that is set aside from the living quarters by a pair of French Doors and a queen-size bed in the guest bedroom. There is also a queen size pull out sofa bed in the living room that can be used if necessary. The beauty of nature is brought into this unit through the two sets of door walls adjacent to the covered porches. There is a Jacuzzi (SEASONAL) outside in a screened in area for your bug free enjoyment. We supply towels for your bathing needs, however, if you plan on taking advantage of the hot tub, we suggest that you bring some beach towels. This apartment is very private and secluded. A great romantic getaway.

In the country we also have an apartment designed with families in mind. The Family Unit is a 2 bedroom unit, 1 with a queen bed and 1 with a full bed. There are 2 futons in the living room for additional sleeping needs. This is also a very private location with its own deck overlooking rolling hills and woods. Deer sightings are normally a daily occurrence. There is a designated spot for campfires and lots of woods for fire wood picking. What a fun spot for families to enjoy.

Between the beauty of the area, the fine appointments of the units and the savings reflected in our pricing, Abbeys is by far the best value to be had compared to any other choices in the Charlevoix area.

Free Wi-Fi in most of our units. All of our units have Satellite TV, or Cable with basic channels. All come with a VCR. We supply linens, pillows and blankets. Fully equipped, roomy kitchens includes fridge, range with oven, microwave oven, toaster and or toaster oven, coffee maker, cooking utensils, pots and pans, flatware, dishes, and some of our units have a dishwasher. In the bathrooms are large bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. There will also be limited toiletries not to include hair care products. Make sure to bring your own beach towels if you plan on using our unit with the hot tub.

SHOPPING – GAMBLING. Downtown “Charlevoix the Beautiful” is only 5 miles away from our country apartments while Petoskey, with its great shopping and casino is only 18 miles away. Traverse City is 1 hour south and Mackinac Island is 1 hour north of Charlevoix. So you see, we are perfectly located.

BIKEPATH. Charlevoix has a bike path called "Little Traverse Wheelway". It runs 26 miles from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs. The trail is mostly “dedicated” and mostly asphalt. It is by far one of the most scenic and beautiful bike paths in all of Michigan. The Little Traverse Conservancy owns and manages more than 164 public nature preserves in this area.


BEACHES – OH THE BEACHES. There are so many beaches to choose from, but let me just start here. Directly west of town is Lake Michigan Beach. The beach is south of the pier that the light house is on. There is a playground, concession building and restrooms. Adjacent to the old train depot museum, on Lake Charlvoix, at the south end of Mercer Boulevard of U.S. 31 is Depot Beach. It has restrooms, playground, volleyball net, grills, picnic pavilion and lifeguards during posted hours. Located on Ferry Avenue is Ferry Beach. It is on Lake Charlevoix. It has a playground, basketball court, volleyball court, rest rooms, concession building and lifeguards during posted hours.


GOLF COURSES. There are too many golf courses in this area to even mention. So -- bring your clubs and enjoy.


SKIING – SNOWMOBILE TRAILS. Boyne Mountain, one of Michigan’s premier ski locations is only 19 miles away. And if you still need some more skiing, there is Boyne Highlands and Nubs Knob just 27 miles away. Don’t forget about all the groomed snowmobile trails, ice fishing and cross country skiing located in all directions from this location. Between the beauty of the area, the fine appointments of the unit and the savings reflected in our pricing, this is by far the best value to be had compared to any other choices in Boyne Country.

Check in is after 3:00 p.m. Departure is before 11:00 a.m.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

In order to secure your dates of booking a refundable $200.00 security/damage deposit is required. During the summer season, notice of cancellation must be received in writing 60 days prior to the reservation date, other seasons 30 days. We have instituted this policy to serve our customers who like to make their vacation plans well in advance to insure their dates of choice. Within a few days of your departure your deposit will be returned to you subject to any damage or loss. Pets are welcome for and additional $50.00 refundable security deposit.

There is a 2 day minimum. The rates quoted are for 2 people. There is a $3.00 additional charge per night for each additional person.
