Welcome to Hideaway Cabin - set atop the mountain at 4400 ft on 10 pristine acres of endless views -our mountain sanctuary is completely cedar and spacious with Beaverdam Creek flowing through the property

Our cabin offers the rustic ambience of a small cabin yet boasts 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, all decorated in an authentic mountain theme. Our guests rave over the size of our mountainside home! How high up in the mountains? At 4400ft, it never needs air conditioning! (But we still have it, just in case!)

There are two bedrooms (both with 2 queen size beds), one bath up, master suite (with king size bed) and bath on the main level and and three bedrooms, (2 with full beds, one with full bunk) one bath down. There is a full kitchen completely outfitted for cooking those great mountain meals AND a kitchenette on the lower level for your convenience. For those of you with small children or a dog, Hideaway Cabin is fenced adjacent to the house so you can rock on the porch and enjoy watching them play. Beautiful hardwood floors spread throughout the house but the best part is the full covered rocking chair front porch with it's breathtaking view, old fashioned porch swing and even two bird feeders which feed many feathered friends. We have a cozy and convenient gas fireplace in the upstairs family room with satellite TV.

The downstairs family room is complete with Satellite TV. Our master suite is complete with sitting area, satellite tv and gorgeous views of five mountain ranges! In fact, it's hard to find a room in Hideaway Cabin that doesn't have a beautiful view! For those of you who just love to sit around a fire and renew your spirit (we do!) there is an old fashioned wood burning fire pit right out the back door overlooking the mountains with seating.

Throw some logs on the fire and relax your soul! Put some hot dogs on a coat hanger or a stick and roast them over the fire...there's a table provided also! Then roast some marshmallows and drink some hot chocolate. This is the type of retreat experience memories are made from! Lie in bed at night with the windows open and listen to the owls hoot and the stream rush down the mountains.

This is a full retreat experience for those who love skiing, (Beech is 10 miles away), wildlife, scenery, hiking, and privacy that only ten acres of your own can offer you! Hike down and play in the beautiful stream on the property! Look out the window and don't be surprised to see deer passing through, as well as many other native wildlife. You won't want to leave! This area gets a LOT of snowfall during the winter and a 4 wheel drive, and or chains may be necessary!!!! Our driveway is perfect for sledding, which means it is steep! (The hike back up is sure to get you in shape!!)

There are antiques scattered throughout the home as well as old fashioned "mountain" furniture! (We make up the beds for you and you bring your towels.) Play a game of chess or an old fashioned game of checkers; just some of the many games we have available in the house. Bring your entire family to our Hideaway Cabin and reconnect with each other. You'll never forget it!

Go visit Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, the beautiful Linville Gorge...all the local attractions of the high country are available to you! We are located between Boone and Banner Elk so we are close to everything! Just 5 minutes off of 321!

Rental Policies

Pet fee of $130 per pet, dogs only up to 3. $125 cleaning fee includes sheets, pillow cases and blankets but NOT towels. No house parties.
