Gatlinburg vacation homes offer tourists access to one of the most diverse destination resorts in the state of Tennessee. The ski resort in Gatlinburg features eight ski trails as well as three chair lifts. Tourists can drive to the ski resort or take a scenic ride in a gondola, which serves the resort from the city strip. One of the most popular tourist attractions is Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, which offers tourists a lot more to ponder than mere fish. There is even a new section of the attraction dedicated to educating visitors about the planet Mars, of all things.

Nearby amusement parks include Dollywood and the water park Dollywood's Splash Country. Just down the road in Pigeon Ford, these parks reflect the flamboyant personality of their founder, country music star Dolly Parton.
