Located under the church of Aghi Anargyri with its wonderful bell tower, the Villa Ivi is a charming retreat from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia. Sheltered from the Cycladic winds, the traffic free village of Megalochori provides a peaceful and sought after alternative. The romantic Villa Ivi once provided the villagers with a safe haven from marauding pirates who invaded the island. Today the villa, with its cool vaulted interior, provides an enchanting holiday home.
Near to the picturesque village square with its Venetian architecture, the Villa Ivi is approached through painted blue doors which lead into a pretty and private courtyard, complete with the indulgence of an outdoor heated Jacuzzi. The central living room has a seating area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The large master bedroom has a view of the courtyard and a walk-in closet. A large bathroom, with modern amenities serves this bedroom whilst the second bedroom, with its own private entrance from the courtyard, has a bathroom en-suite.
The villa is suitable for two couples or a small family wanting a private retreat from which to explore the island.
Rental Policy
Please make sure you read the Reservation Conditions carefully.
All prices are subject to confirmation at the time of the reservation. There will be no surcharge on these prices on the reservation is confirmed.
Most properties have a minimum letting period of 3 DAYS.
The villas are serviced daily and provided with bed linen.
If extra cleaning service is required, extra charges will apply. Please request at the time of making your reservation.
During your stay, a 24-hour concierge will be at your service.
RESERVATION CONDITIONS
1. RESERVATION
A deposit of 50 % of the property rental must be paid. Your reservation will not be confirmed unless the deposit is received.
2. PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
The balance of your account should be settled on departure.
3. CANCELLATION BY YOU
It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment; we shall then be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost:
• 6 weeks or more prior to arrival 30 %
• 6 – 4 weeks prior to arrival 50 %
• 4 weeks prior to arrival 100 %
All cancellations must be done in writing and signed by the signatory of the reservation form.
4. CANCELLATION OR AMENDMENTS BY US
In the unlikely event that we will have to make any changes to your confirmed reservation, we will advise you at the earliest date. If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide you with the property you have reserved, we reserve the right to transfer you to a similar or better property. If you however do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the reservation and refund the amount paid to us in full. We will not be held liable for any cancellation charges for travel arrangements.
5. NUMBER OF GUESTS
Only those persons stipulated on the reservation form may use the villa. The number of people must not exceed the number of sleeping space indicated in the brochure. Should the key holder find more persons than those stated, it is totally up to his discretion to ask the clients to vacate the property.
6. INSURANCE
It is a condition of this reservation that your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance including coverage against trip cancellation. The appropriate coverage should be purchased at the time of the booking. Please contact your travel agent, travel consultant or insurance broker about this. Your signature on the reservation form confirms that you are covered by such insurance.
7. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME
Check-in time is from 3pm – 8pm. Check-out time is 12am. In case of flight delays or inconvenience whilst traveling, guests should contact us at their earliest convenience.
8. COMPLAINTS
Each villa is maintained to the highest standards. Should you experience any difficulties during your stay, we will do our utmost to assist and solve the problem as soon as possible.
9. CLEANING
The villa will be serviced on a daily basis. Should you require further services, please make the necessary arrangements at the start of your holiday. Extra services will be for your own account.
10. BEHAVIOUR
The guest signing the contract is responsible for the correct and proper behaviour of his party. Should your party behave in a manner that is not acceptable by civilized standards, they key holder may ask you and your party to vacate the property immediately.
11. PETS
Pets are generally not accepted in our properties.
12. SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool, when available, will be maintained by the staff. If your rental period is before 1 April after 1 October, please check if the swimming pool is operational.
13. WATER & ELECTRICITY
Please note that the villas are situated on a small island with severe problems of drought. Therefore, water is a commodity to be used sparingly during the summer months. If you experience a shortage of water, we will do everything we can to re-establish the supply. Electricity can also be disrupted, normally for a short period of time. We can however not be held responsible for any inconvenience created that is beyond our control.
14. VALUABLES
Valuables left at the property are done so at the clients’ own risk. We can not be held responsible for their loss.
