Located 11 miles west of Bryson City, North Carolina, between Nantahala Village and Nantahala Outdoor Center. Within easy driving distance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (30-45 minute drive,) Cherokee Reservation (20 miles,) Nantahala River (take out is <5 minutes, put-in approximately 10 miles, driving time dependent on time of the year) Fontana Lake (<2 miles,) Harrah's Casino (<half hour,) Joyce Kilmer Forest (30-45 minute drive,) Deep Creek tubing and camping (<20 minute drive,) Nantahala National Forest (<15 minutes,) Tsali Campground and mountain biking trails (<15 minutes,) and many other natural attractions. We are an hour and 20 minutes southwest of Asheville, North Carolina - and a 2 1/2 hour drive from Atlanta. If you enjoy hiking, whitewater rafting, canoeing or kayaking, or if you are just looking for beautiful, peaceful mountain scenery, this is your perfect location.
