Beach Haven NJ - Newly renovated duplex. Great location, just 5 houses to the beach with off street parking and all the comforts and amenities of home. Clean, open, airy floor plan, each unit has 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths and sleeps 6 to 8.
Long Beach Island has been named one of America's top beaches and Beach Haven is known for some of LBI's best - but that’s not the only reason we love it here.
Although Beach Haven has the islands only amusement area, Fantasy Island, there is so much more to do than you'd ever imagine. Once you are here there is no need to fight the traffic or the lights - Beach Haven has is all.
Bring your bikes (or rent some) and hop on the bike path that runs past the front of our home. Head north (about a mile) and it will bring you right through Beach Haven or go south through Holgate to the end of the island.
Take advantage of a not-so-beach day touring the Historical district where you'll find the Long Beach Island Historical Museum, The Surflight Theater, Veterans Bicentennial Park, and tons of beautiful old Victorian homes. Take a tour of buildings constructed before 1900 - each is marked with a white plaque that reads "Bicentennial, Pre-1900."
You can spend the day (or evening) shopping at Bay Village or any of the other shops in or around town. Cool down at the Thundering Surf Water Park or play a round (or 2) at Adventure Miniature Golf.
Have a great meal at any of a number of the legendary LBI restaurants located in Beach Haven like The Boathouse, The Chicken or the Egg, Uncle Will's, Buckalew's, or Howard’s - just to name a few of our favorites. Or go out on the town to any one of the many great night clubs or bars - many with live entertainment, DJ's, or local bands.
During most of July and August, The Alliance for a Living Ocean runs Eco-Tours of LBI, exploring the dunes and the wetlands of our barrier island. The ALO also sponsors field trips and other special programs in the summer which are fun for the whole family.
Our vacations are not complete until we take a ride up to Old Barney at the northern most point of the island. You can walk up the 200+ steps to the top of the Barnegat Lighthouse where you’ll enjoy some amazing views (don't forget your camera) On your climb to the top you'll learn about the history of Old Barney and the Barnegat Inlet from the many pictures and articles along the way. There's a walking path that takes you around the Barnegat Light State Park with stops along the way that point out some of our great marine and wetland wildlife. And don’t forget to have lunch at Kelly's (another one of our favorites) or get an ice cream at the dairy queen.
Beach Haven and Long Beach Island offer so much for all ages, do all these things and more or do nothing but relax on the beach and take in the sun and the sound of the ocean. Whatever you do it's a great place to enjoy yourself...
There’s no place like the Jersey shore!
