This home is located in a rural area just listen to the birds and the ocean. The whales are here in winter but spinner dolphins and turtles year round.

Property Details

This is a home designed for tropical living. The walls consist mostly of windows to bring the landscaped garden into the house. The Great room opens with a 12 foot slider onto the ocean side terrace, next to the water garden/pond with Koi, Goldfish and assorted Guppies. On the Mauka (mountain) side of the dining area the great room connects to an arch covered garden court yard, with orchids and birds all around. The large gazebo between the pond and the ocean is another potential dining and sitting area to enjoy. There is a spectacular ocean view from every room. Wake to a breathtaking sunrise or go outside and stand under a rainbow. On clear nights the star gazing is 'Astronomical'. Walk the coast and watch turtles, spinner dolphins and whales (when in season) and of course the ever changing waves to relax your mind. Bring your fishing rod and enjoy fishing from your own front yard.
The Big Island features many festivals: Merry Monarch Hula Competition, Coffee tour and festival, Orchid shows, 1st Friday Hilo a gallery walk, Ironman triathlon and of course the volcano with active lava flows, Astronomy center 'Imiloa', Onomea Bay Tropical Gardens, Vanilla Orchid Farm and more.

The south side of the home (the wing with the peaked roof) is an Ohana Unit, for the caretaker's use , with a separate entrance and not included in the rental.

Rental Policy

$ 200.00 to hold reservation, balance is due on arrival. We accept personal checks, money orders, cashiers checks, or Paypal.com

As per arrangement, suggested arrival afternoon, departure before noon.

$ 200.00 refundable security deposit
Stays less than one week $ 75.00 cleaning fee. 3 night minimum stay. Full rental is due at arrival
