This shorefront cabin is perched on the edge of Dungeness Harbor next to Dungeness Spit National Wildlife Refuge – enjoy listening to the ocean waves crash on the Spit below, no other vacation rental gets you this close! Our unique location next to the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge offers some of the best bird watching and wildlife viewing available. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer spectacular views of the Dungeness Spit, San Juan Islands, Mount Baker, New Dungeness Lighthouse, passing ships, and the night time lights of Victoria BC, Canada. The property is heavily forested and has a trail down the bluff to the private beach and tidelands. This bright, cozy cabin is perfect for a secluded romantic getaway or a fun family vacation.

Sequim, WA is located in the rain shadow (blue hole) of the Olympic Mountains and has more sun and less rain than anywhere else in western Washington. Sequim has less than 15-inches of rain per year. Sequim offers convenient lodging for visitors of Olympic National Park, Dungeness Spit National Wildlife Refuge, and Victoria BC, Canada.

HIGH SPEED INTERNET & WIRELESS NETWORK, satellite TV, DVD, weber gas grill, washer/dryer, phone, birding scope, children's toys, videos, huge deck, great sunsets, and spectacular views. 10,000 Waves has a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two baths, and sleeps up to 10 guests. Three bedrooms include master with king, second with queen, and third with a double and twin bunk. For extra sleepers there are two single hide-a-beds and two pull out sofa beds. A wood fireplace (firewood included) is perfect for those cool evenings.

Dungeness Spit National Wildlife Refuge and the surrounding landscapes are PARADISE FOR BIRD WATCHERS. The crest of the Dungeness Spit divides a protected inner harbor (Dungeness Bay) from the open waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. After crossing the strait from Canada, birds seek the spit for shelter and forage. Alcids, shorebirds, puffins, and waterfowl congregate along the spit while songbirds and raptors settle into the woods and onto the open fields of the refuge and areas above. More than 250 bird species have been recorded on the refuge, and more than 90 species have bred there.

Sequim's location provides for wonderful day trips to the rugged Pacific Ocean beaches, Hurricane Ridge (Olympic National Park), Hoh Rain Forest, Makah Native Art Museum, or Victoria BC via ferry. Sequim is located between the cities of Port Angeles and Port Townsend, both about a 25-minute drive. Sequim’s location is convenient for treks to beautiful Lake Crescent, beach walking on the Dungeness Spit National Wildlife Refuge, downtown shops, antiquing, golfing, the Olympic Game Farm (drive thru zoo), music festivals, wineries, lavender farms, fresh sea food restaurants, and the 7-Cedars Casino and Native Art Gallery.

Rates, taxes, and fees are subject to change until confirmed. All costs are in US Dollars. A discount of 10% for stays of 10 or more nights. Max occupancy is 10, and a two night minimum is required. Call for special long term rates during low season Oct 1 thru Apr 1 - a great place to stay while building your house in the area!

Rental Policy

Reservations can be held with a major credit card including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. All cancellations are subject to a $75 cancellation fee. All cancellations within one month of check-in are subject to a 50% refund. Deposit is full payment via credit card at time of booking. One time $75 cleaning fee is charged.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Rates, taxes, and fees are subject to change without notice. Discount of 10% for stays of 10 or more nights. Max occupancy is six. Two night minimum is required. Monthly rates are for 28 nights (4 weeks). An additional $60 cleaning fee is charged. Rates subject to 8.4% sales tax and 2.0% room tax. A rental agreement contract must be signed. Call for special long term rates during low season (Oct 1 thru Apr 30) - a great place to stay while building your house in the area!
