There are only 2 places on this planet with so many hours of sunlight and such high sea water temperature; one is in Hawaii and the other in the area of Torrevieja – that’s the nearby larger town that we will talk about later.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports shows that the area of Torrevieja is one of the healthiest places in the world to live; when you drive along local Highway N332 along the shoreline on one side, you see several salt lakes on the other side of the road… (and all kinds of exotic birds…) this abundant salt water is a being blown by soft winds and that is where the healthy air comes from…
Hot summers and warm dry winters means you can enjoy sun all year around, in fact there are over 320 days of sunshine every year (see the current area tempreture at this moment by visiting my website – www.vistamar2a.info).

Several beaches close by, as described below; the beach ‘to the left’ of your residence, Cabo Roig about 5-10 min’s walk in a lovely alcove … the little beach in front of it is my favourite…the beach.
But, maybe you don’t want it too quiet, maybe you want more lively beaches, with restaurants and lots of activity… well , these are the 2 large beaches of Campoamor mentioned above, excellent for bathing and also safe for kids with the water to your knees for quite a distance from the shoreline. You can rent a boat, have lunch or a beer right on the beach, everything is available…

I have a 2 bedroom apartment, with kitchen fully equipped.
The apartment has a master bedroom with a queen size bed and air conditioning, suitable for mom and dad. For your security there is also a safe in the main bedroom by the window for your valuables.
The apartment also has a second bedroom with two single beds, suitable for two children or larger parties.
There is a double sofa bed in the living room in case of a crowd larger than 4. (Please inquire about additional cost) You have satellite TV, air conditioning in the living room with the sliding door going to the balcony with table and four chairs… for breakfast if you prefer to stay in…! The kitchen is fully equipped (including kettle) large stove, fridge, washing machine… the works .

ENTERTAINMENT IN COSTA BLANCA

On the 2nd floor of your building here in Cabo Roig, as on all the area around that I know of, there are restaurants and eateries of any possible description, serving cuisine from all over the world, prices ranging widely depending on the class you choose; from sandwich and a beer to lobsters and fine wines…depending on your budget.
Now, if you came to Spain just to relax on the beach and have excellent meals you do not need a car, everything is within walking distance... But if you would like to visit places, and we would encourage you to do so, is so much to see in this lovely area of Torrevieja, Spain, then we suggest you rent a car, most conveniently right at the airport, we have found www.carjet.com or www.drivespain.com to be economical and reliable.

Terra Mitica Theme Park near Benidorm. Terra Mitica is the new Spanish theme park opened in July, 2000. It is billed as the Mediterranean’s largest theme park. On entering Terra Mitica you are swept back to the Mediterranean world of mythical civilizations to experience ancient legends and mysteries. You will become a Roman, a Greek, an Egyptian and a Crusader or a Berber. The Park which is made up on 5 distinctive zones – Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, and The Islands – included amongst its attractions the first dark rides of the kind in Europe. The size of the main mechanical attractions are unique both in size and layout. Further information can be obtained by phoning their Call Center at 0034 96 500 47 43. This newly opened theme park is approx 1 hour away drive on an excellent highway, as most roads in Spain.

SOME OF THE BEST GOLF COURSES IN SPAIN

Do you like golf? If you do you reached the paradise of golfing...!
Only a few minutes away are the championship golf courses of:
• Villamartin PAR 72 (0034 966 765170). Set in a pine forest the course has been used for many top professional tournaments. To achieve a par on this course you will require a god tee shot and accurate approach shot to the green. The clubhouse is very lively at lunchtimes. Meals can be taken under a very large thatch or next to the open air swimming pool.
• Las Ramblas PAR 72 (0034 965 322011). A very well planned course takin full advantage of the natural countryside. It features deep gorges, lakes, bridges and thick wooded areas. The tight fairways and long holes make this a true test of your golfing skills. The clubhouse has a very pleasant atmosphere with an open air rooftop restaurant overlooking the golf course.
• Campoamor PAR 72 (0034 965 321366). Picturesque course set in a valley surrounded by breath taking views of the hills. Probably the easiest of the three local courses due it’s wide open fairways. It still demands good tee shots to give you any chance of making par. Greens and fairways are extremely well manicured. The course is very popular all year round, it is very important to book tee times on all these courses.
Green fees tend to cost around thirty pounds and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Golf buggies and clubs can be hired on all courses. La marquesa & La Finca courses are also approximately 15 minutes drive, and La Manga is 40 minutes away.

The winter time in the rest of Europe is the busiest time for golfing in Spain due to the mild climate…



LOCATION - CABO ROIG, COSTA BLANCA, Spain
This area of Spain boasts a minimum of 320 sunny days a year and has been described by the World Health Organization as among the healthiest climates in the world. Cabo Roig which is part of Orihuela municipality is is about half way between the town of Torrevieja and Mar Menor lake (, its an historic town, worth visiting).Torrevieja is 28 miles south of Alicante on the Costa Blanca, with it’s fine sandy beaches. Torrevieja is a typical Spanish town with an expanding harbour and marina. Torrevieja caters for all tastes, with bars, restaurants, an aqua park, go-kart tracks, while Cabo Roig urbanization is quieter with many international restaurants. It also has some of the best Pubs in the area. Take a trip to Tabarca on a glass bottomed boat for a great day out.

Other Attractions in Alicante, Costa Blanca, Spain
Alicante is good for shopping with a beautiful marina, Benidorm approximately 1 hour away has the largest water park in Europe and the Terra Mitica theme park for white knuckle rides. La Manga famous gold and sports complex is just 30 mins south, Murcia has a stunning cathedral and shops. Cartagena which has naval history and the mountains with can be seen from the outskirts of Torrevieja are all easily accessible on Spain's good roads . Villamartin plaza near the golf course is superb for eating and drinking in a wide variety of restaurants and quality shops. The natural salt lakes on the outskirts of nearby Torreviea contributed to the area being named one the healthiest places by the WHO. The salt concentration draws moisture out of the air and with sunny days and an average temperature of 28 degrees and low annual rain fall the areas are ideal for anyone suffering from Asthma, Rheumatism or Arthritis.

The Mar Menor lake, just south of Cabo Roig is the largest salt water lake in Europe. Its calm shallow warm waters are rich in iodine and salt making it highly invigorating with immense therapeutic value. The Mar Menor shares the same microclimate with Torrevieja as to the beneficial health properties. It has the warmest winters in Spain and was recently declared to have the cleanest air in Europe by the World Health Org.

Deposits for your Spanish Rental Apartment
A 50 % deposit is payable on confirmation of booking. Balance is due 2 weeks prior to date of arrival. A 100 Euro (or £60 )refundable damage deposit is also required on arrival. It will be refunded as you leave the apartment subject to being no damage in the apartment. Prices include after stay cleaning, linen and towels (please provide your own beach towels). Air conditioning is charged as a extra for the remote control to operate the system, due to the high cost of running it. 1 week – 50 euro’s
2 weeks – 70 euro’s
3 weeks – 100 euro’s
Long term lets available. Please note that there is a 30% reduction in price for lets longer than 6 weeks during winter months (November to March).
