A private getaway for those seeking luxurious living in the midst of the forest. We offer guests the privacy and seclusion they seek for their honeymoon, to celebrate anniversaries or special events, or for others in search of rest and relaxation.

Property Details

The Honey Moon Cabin, built in 1997, sits in the middle of six acres of towering firs and cedars, and offers sanctuary to honeymooners. It is very private!

We strive to offer luxurious home comforts, while leaving guests in privacy. Therefore, unlike a bed and breakfast establishment, breakfast items are provided to guests to prepare at their own convenience. The provisions include steak, bacon, eggs, hash browns, fruit, rolls, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and juice for two mornings.

A complimentary gift of a bottle of wine and chocolates is included!

Amenities:

The Honey Moon Cabin is fully furnished with an elegant king-sized four-poster bed, a classic floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace and a cozy loveseat. The furnishings include a VCR/DVD player with a large assortment of movies, a library of books to enjoy, and a CD player with a selection of classical and romantic music.

The large tiled bathroom has a European style shower and jet tub for two. Bathrobes, hair dryer, linens and towels are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, utensils, microwave, coffee/espresso maker, cook-top and oven, toaster, waffle iron, and blender. A variety of basic food staples are yours to use, and there is a QFC store in Port Hadlock should you desire to prepare your own lunches and dinners. An abundance of first-class restaurants and cafes are within a 25-minute driving radius. An iron and ironing board, and washer and dryer are also available.

Outside, under the covered, wrap-around deck, are two wicker chairs to enjoy the tranquil and forested ambiance. You will often see deer and fawn grazing the lawn. There is an outside barbecue and cozy fireplace with a seating area (charcoal briquets and firewood are provided, along with the makings for S'mores!). Take a leisurely stroll along the private nature trail through the woods amongst low lying ferns and towering fir and cedar trees. Enjoy a scenic bike ride along the country roads of Marrowstone Island. Two mountain bikes are available to borrow or, for the more adventurous, try out the bicycle-built-for-two!

Nearby Attractions:

Pristine Marrowstone Island retains its rural solitude and is rich in natural beauty. Fort Flagler State Park lies at the north tip of the island and is just a five-mile drive from the Honey Moon Cabin. It offers walking trails through the woods and miles of beach for leisurely strolls. Mystery Bay State Park is nearby for boat moorage, and East Beach County Park is a public beach just 1 miles from the cabin and is a wonderful beach to experience majestic views.

In the center of this sleepy Island community is the nostalgic Nordland General Store where you can get anything from your morning latte to vintage toys. Canoe and kayak rentals are also available. Beach combing, crabbing, clamming, fishing, hiking, biking, and kite flying are also popular activities on the island.

The picturesque Victorian town of Port Townsend is only a 20 minute drive from Marrowstone Island, offering shopping, dining, parks, sailing, golf, fine arts and music. Explore the historical Fort Worden with its bunkers, sandy beaches and the Centrum, a gathering place for year-round festivals and concerts.

Port Angeles, gateway to Victoria, B.C., is an hour’s drive by car; or a day trip to Seattle is only an hour’s drive to the ferry. Jefferson International Airport is 20 minutes away.

Marrowstone Island lies off the northeast Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and, more specifically, Quimper Peninsula. To ensure the privacy of our guests, detailed directions to the Honey Moon Cabin will be provided upon reservation and deposit.

The Honey Moon Cabin is not able to accommodate children or pets. No smoking is allowed

The rate is for double occupancy and includes two nights stay with breakfast provisions for two mornings.

A deposit of $100 will confirm your reservation. We regret we are not set up for charge cards. Check, money order, traveler’s check, and cash are gladly accepted.
