Tradewinds Cottage is a two-bedroom, two-bath cottage (rented as a one-bedroom also) perched high above John’s Folly Bay in the quiet southeastern corner of St. John, US Virgin Islands. Perfect for one couple, or two couples, or a small family.

This charming wood cottage features light, airy rooms with stunning ocean views throughout. The deck commands a panoramic view of the Virgin Islands chain, and the southeastern exposure offers breathtaking sunrises. Steady tradewinds keep the house cool even on the hottest days, and ensure bug-free evenings.

Far away from the crowds and noise of Cruz Bay, this quiet part of the Island features secluded beaches and scenic tropical views around every corner. Concordia is the dry side of the Island, completely surrounded by national park. The area boasts some great restaurants, and is a short drive from local markets and shops in the village of Coral Bay. It’s a one minute drive from the cottage to the hot, sunny, uncrowded Salt Pond Beach; and a 15-20 minute drive to the spectacular but busier North Shore Beaches. Unlike most houses on St. John, our road is a flat, easy, few hundred feet from the main road to our cottage.

Upstairs is a large, light-filled living room/eating area/kitchen, one bedroom, and one bathroom. There is a fold-out sleep futon sofa if needed in the living room. Go down the outside stairway to a beautiful downstairs bedroom with sitting area, sliders to a private balcony, and bathroom with ocean views and handmade seashell tiles in the shower.

"Tradewinds" inside is a wooden cottage-style house, decorated simply but eclectically in original art and crafts against white walls and natural wood. Sorry, no pets, no smoking.

We provide many amenities for our guests: queen bed upstairs, queen bed downtairs, fully equipped kitchen, Microwave, Refrigerator, All Cooking Utensils And Dishes Provided, Blender, Toaster Oven, Coffeemaker, All Linens Provided, Phone, Answering Machine, TV (no cable at this time), VCR, DVD, Stereo, CD Player, extensive CD Music Collection, Book Collection, Hair Dryer, Bedroom Floor Safe, Weber Gas BBQ, Outdoor Furniture, Beach Chairs, Beach Umbrella, Beach Shade Tent, Coolers, Thermos, Picnic Basket, Outdoor Birdfeeders....

The Coral Bay area offers many attractions: Great Restaurants and Bars, Local Markets, hiking trails, Snorkeling & Diving, Fishing, Horseback Riding, Sightseeing, Swimming, Boating, Sailing, Windsurfing, Shelling, are All Nearby.

Tradewinds Cottage is VERY popular — we are booked up 100% every year, and people book usually 6-9 months in advance — we have lots of repeat renters! Our rental period is always starting Saturdays 3 PM and ending on Saturdays 10 AM.
