Our beautiful plantation style cottage is a 1500 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 bath house on the gorgeous North Shore of Kauai in the charming town of Kilauea. We did a complete remodel with attention to detail, so the house is in excellent condition. Our home is adorned with Kauai insired custom stained glass windows and vintage Hawaiian furniture, lamps and linens with a feeling of the Hawaii of yesteryear with all of the convenience of modern-day amenities.

The house is located in the sweet town of Kilauea where you can spend your vacation feeling like a local rather than a tourist. From the house it's just a few minutes walk to the health food store, bakery, shops, restaurants, grocery store, fish market, farmer's market, pharmacy, video store and post office. A short 5 minute drive takes you to 3 of the most amazing beaches on the island: Secrets, Kalihiwai Bay and Rock Quarry. The famous Lighthouse and Bird Sanctuary is just down the road.

The house is conveniently located close to all of the gorgeous and lush magic of the North Shore: Hanalei town and Hanalei Bay, world-class beaches, surfing, snorkeling and hiking. You'll feel "away from it all" and still be able to access all of the amenities of of the larger town of Kapaa just 20 minutes South.

One enters the house through a covered and private lanai where you can lounge in papasan chairs or have a meal at the bamboo dining set while enjoying the tropical tradewinds. The front door is accented by a oceanic custom designed stained glass window inlayed with rainbow-making crystals.

The great room has very high ceilings, large windows and has a living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen, all perfect for entertaining.

There are 2 master bedrooms each with California King beds and a 3rd bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is even an extra screened in room, perfect for practicing yoga or simply relaxing in the peaceful breeze. The master bath is connected to the 1st master bedroom and has a deep bathtub, 2 sinks, plentiful storage and a beautiful stained glass window of an ocean wave. The 2nd bath has a shower and another lovely stained glass window of a lotus flower. Both bathrooms have custom tile work with Italian glass mosaics, custom glass enclosures for the bathing areas and sunflower shower heads.
Every room has a ceiling fan and the great room has 2 ceiling fans. The house is wonderfully ventilated with soothing tradewinds always flowing through the open and spacious rooms.

There is parquet wood flooring in all of the rooms.

The house is filled with vintage Hawaiiana furniture, bedspreads, lamps and vases and artwork by local artists. Each room is painted with a different color to reflect the beautiful colors of Kauai.

The entertainment center has a TV, VCR, DVD player and a stereo.

There is a washer and dryer for your use while you are here.

There is an outdoor shower framed by 2 stained glass windows to rinse off after a day at the beach and a wonderful yard filled with tropical plants and flowers.
