Casa Feliz's four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms provide adequately for most groups. Its spacious living room, with two seating areas, a gaming corner, TV, DVD, telephone, books, videos and games, as well as a dining area for up to 12 people, serves equally well as a cozy respite from busy sight-seeing days and as an elegant place in which to entertain your guests. High speed cable/wireless Internet access (by request only at extra charge) allows guests to keep up with correspondence and business. The private patio is a delightful spot in which to read, draw or just sunbathe, while its roof-top garden offers 360-degree views of the surrounding hills and is a wonderfully relaxed spot from which to enjoy your evening Margarita. Considered one of the most charming private residences in San Miguel, Casa Feliz offers colonial cantera arches, traditional fireplaces, and a collection of Mexican art and artifacts that delight the eye while lending the building the authenticity appropriate to its historic location. One of the special features of the house is an original two-foot thick arch and stone wall built almost three hundred years ago.

Casa Feliz is light, spacious and comfortable. All beds are provided with duvets and mattress warmers for the cooler weather, and all rooms have either a gas or wood fireplace. There is one full bathroom with tub, and two bathrooms with showers, as well as a toilet adjoining the living room. The private patio and roof-top garden are beautifully appointed with potted flowers, shrubs and vines, and plenty of comfortable seating for outdoor enjoyment.

The first floor holds the master bedroom, with king-sized bed and patio. Adjoining it is a smaller bedroom with a double bed. These rooms share a bathroom. On the same floor is another bedroom with queen-sized bed and its own bathroom. On the top floor is the delightful "penthouse" containing a bedroom with queen-sized bed, its own bathroom and access to the lovely roof garden. The living room has a pull-out sofa for 2.

The maid, also an excellent cook, is highly treasured by the many visitors who have sampled her vast repertoire of Mexican specialties. A local manager is readily available should there be any problems or sudden emergencies. Sight-seeing tours and transportation from and to local airports can be arranged via a recommended agent.

Rental Policy

House rents from Saturday to Saturday (some exceptions allowed). If paid booking is canceled, money is refunded only if alternative guests for same period can be found, less 10% administrative fee. If reservation made more than 6 months in advance, payment can be made in two installments. Otherwise full payment expected on signing lease. Rates include maid's services and cooking. Extra maid hired for more than 6 people - approx. $75 per week. Payment by wire or paypal only - no checks accepted.

Arrival Times

Check in no earlier than 12pm; check out no later than 10am.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Rates vary according to season and number of guests. Peak season i January, February, March, July, August - $1500 per week for up to 6 guests, $150 per week per extra guest, max. 10. Off-season $850 p wk for 2 people, $950 for 3, etc. $2500 for Christmas, New Year week. Rates include maid's services and cooking. Add 5% hotel tax and $500 security deposit. Minimum stay is one week. Otherwise payment is expected in full to hold reservation. Payment by wire or PayPal only.
