Monhegan Island is located 12 miles off the coast of Maine, and has many hiking trails that lead through cathedral woods to high cliffs. Seals, Whales, dolphins, birds, sailboats, salt air, fishing, shells, friendly people, Peace. Food for the soul.

Sitting atop Horn's Hill on Monhegan Island, The Charles House is a beautiful home with ocean and sunset views. In the evenings, you can see many lighthouses glowing along the coast of Maine. It is located in a private place on the island and is only a five minute walk to the nearest cliffs which line the east side of the island. Watch the sun rise over Whitehead Cliff and set over the water. A spacious, natural kitchen and living room opens up onto a large deck over a private lawn and faces the harbor and neighboring island, Manana. Views are great from the upstairs windows. The home is fully furnished with lovely clear drinking water from the private well, healthy plants and beautiful Maine art decorates the walls. This is a lovely home that is rented for only a few months of summer, and is otherwise the owner's home for the year.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Rates change with the season. 50% deposit required to hold the reservation, remaining 50% of balance is due two weeks prior to arrival.
7% lodging tax will be added to rental amount.
