OUR HOLIDAY HOMES
L’Athena — (Sleeps 4 plus cot)
Named after a family of small owls, this newly renovated gite is of a high standard and maintains many original features. Set over 2 floors, there is an open plan living area with sofa, wood burning stove, dining table and fully equipped kitchen. On the 1st floor there is a double bedroom, a single bedroom containing full size bunk beds and a separate showeroom. The gite is equipped with the usual amenities including oven and hob, washing machine, fridge, freezer, Satellite TV/video, DVD and a music system. There is a private enclosed garden with B-B-Q.

Les Tournesols (Sleeps 8 plus 2 cots)
Ideal for larger families or people wishing to holiday with friends. This large gite has a separate lounge with sofabed, woodburner and downstairs WC. There is a comfortable fully equipped kitchen with wood burner and dining table, leading onto the back covered patio and garden overlooking open countryside and fields of sunflowers (alternate years). Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom having an en-suite showeroom. There is a further double bedroom at the rear with a double bed which can convert to twin singles if necessary. The third and smallest bedroom easily holds full size bunk beds. There is also a separate showeroom and WC.
The gite is equipped with all the usual amenities including oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and a further fridge ideal for extra chilled drinks! In the lounge there is satellite TV, video, DVD and a music system.

FAMILY FRIENDLY
Having two young children ourselves we have, where possible tried to ensure the whole area is child friendly and safe. There is a comprehensive video and DVD library for young children and garden toys available for your use. Cots, highchairs & stairgates are available, please ask when booking.

ACTIVITIES
Nestled in between open countryside with beautiful views, walking and cycling are obvious pastimes. There are local equestrian centres offering horse riding for all ages.
Locally, the Spa town of St Jean d’Angély caters for most needs, with nightclubs, restaurants, shops, markets, a gym & aquatic centre, the Abbey, karting, moto cross and more besides. For Golf and shopping however, Niort, Saintes or Cognac are all within easy reach.
Discover wines, cognacs or the local aperitif “Pineau” with a visit to one of the many distilleries.
Lounge by the pool or visit the beaches along the Atlantic Coast - La Chátelaillon-Plage, La Rochelle, Royan.
Not forgetting to mention zoos, museums, a donkey sanctuary, Futuroscope, the Aquarium and even a Silver Mine, Le Repos des Hiboux provides a wonderful base for some great excursions.

Arrival Times

The rental period will commence at 1600 on the first day and terminate at 1000 on the last day. If you plan to arrive earlier, please let us know and we will do our best to have the property ready for you.
