Piney Creek, NC

Piney Creek is a mountain region in NW North Carolina, almost on the border of Virginia. The closest towns, Sparta and Jefferson, are about 15 minutes away, with Asheville a little more than a 2 hour drive. The area has an abundance of natural beauty year round. Fall is particularly beautiful with the changing leaves bringing folks from all over to enjoy the colors. Summer is hot enough to enjoy water sports during the day and cool breezes in the evenings. Winter can bring crisp cold days, as well as snow if you're lucky! Springtime in the mountains is a time of renewal and re-birth a glorious time to visit. There are State parks, golf courses, horseback riding, skiing, hiking and attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Virginia Creeper Trail, Grandfather Mountain, gem mining, the wonder of Linville Caverns, the majestic Biltmore Estate, New River State Park and more.
