LeHigh Acres: Inland but Near the Beach

LeHigh Acres is located in Lee County, Florida. Although Lee County fronts the Gulf coastline of the state, LeHigh Acres is situated along the eastern border of the county, meaning that the community itself has no direct beach access. However, the excellent Florida highway system means that tourists staying in LeHigh Acres holiday rental homes can reach the beach in as little as 30 minutes driving time. The population of LeHigh Acres is more than 65,000, but this does not make it a crowded getaway destination since the community occupies more than 61,000 acres of land. Nearby cities include Cape Coral and Fort Myers.
