The state of Quintana Roo was first occupied by the Mayan Civilization, several ethnic groups in pre-Hispanic time that developed a great culture that has transcended time. Today many of their temples still stand and are a cause of awe and wonder. The Rivieria Maya is located on the eastern coast of the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico which trails from Cancun to the village of Punta Allen. It is now known for its dazzling natural environment the turquoise blue of the Caribbean Sea, the soft white sands of the beaches, its coral reefs and the glowing sun.
