St. Petersburg is a large city located in Pinellas County in Florida. It is in the area of specialty museums, however, that the city truly shines. There is a Holocaust Museum as well as the Salvador Dali Museum, site of the largest collection of the artist's work not located in Europe. Notable works represented by Dali here include the large-format painting known as The Discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. Families with children should also be sure to visit Great Explorations, the local children's museum.
