It was first natural landscape in G.B. to win this international accolade, granted by Unesco in 2001. At the mouth of Axe Valley, perfectly positioned for coastal & countryside walks. Birdwatching, Golf, horse riding, water sports & fishing all local. Tennis Court, Bowling Green & Putting Green. Attractions include famous Seaton Tramway running along the Axe to lovely villages of Colyford & Colyton. Resort benefits from completely flat, mile long esplanade fronting quiet shingle & sand beach. Flanked by cliffs at either end giving excellent views around the bay. Excellent restaurants: Fish & Chips Chinese Mediterranean good quality Pub/Hotel food. Favourite restaurant "Rossini's" unusually let you draw on paper tablecloths. Large Supermarket, specialist Bakers, Butchers, Greengrocer’s etc. in town centre. Also a couple of Banks, a Post Office, Chemist, Pharmacy etc.
