Four Seasons of Fun at the Northstar Resort

Northstar Resort is a community located in North Lake Tahoe, one of the largest lakes in all of California. The lake figures largely in recreational activities during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons, when nearly every water sport imaginable is available. Since Lake Tahoe is a very deep lake, it takes on a deep blue hue that most visitors find very attractive.

During the winter months, the lake is just as blue, though snow and ice tend to accumulate along the shore. The Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival

Widely regarded as one of the best gourmet events in the entire Lake Tahoe region, the Autumn Food and Wine Festival takes place in the village located at Northstar Resort. Dates vary each year, but the festival usually happens in early September and involves a variety of activities including wine walks, cooking demonstrations, live music, activities geared to children, and everyone's favorite, the 'grape stomp' where participants can press grapes in the old-fashioned way with their feet! Lasting three entire days, this event is one of the most popular on the Lake Tahoe calendar and welcomes visitors and locals alike to experience the best Northern California has to ofsfer when it comes to fine food and wine.
