Perast is tranquil and picturesque and suits the more discerning traveller who is looking for something special and provides a great base to discover the countries’ beauty. It is essentially an old stone nautical town with a strong Venetian influence, located on the Kotor Bay and surrounded by mountains covered with pine trees. The two islands of St George and Our Lady of the Rock are close by and can be visited in one of the small boats leaving from the square. Perast has one hotel called the Hotel Conte, which is surrounded in the summer months by small bars and restaurants. Perast is perfectly situated for relaxing or exploring around the ancient towns and cities of this region- Kotor, Budva, Herceg Novi and Rose and offers tranquillity, history, walking, exploring the caves of Spila above Perast, wildlife and total relaxation in one of the most stunning locations in Europe
