Located in Pinellas County, Florida, Redington Beach is a very small community located on one of Florida's barrier islands. The permanent population is less than 2,000 residents, which means that it is an ideal quiet place where visitors staying in Redington Beach holiday homes and rentals can enjoy a break from big cities, their hometowns, or the large tourist towns of Miami and Pensacola.
Redington Beach is on the Gulf Coast, which means that water-loving tourists here can choose to frolic in the stretch of ocean separating the island from the mainland, or they can indulge in beaches on the western edge of the island so they can enjoy the Gulf of Mexico.
Redington Beach features some interesting local festivals and events, including the annual "Wine Fest Gala" which takes place each year during early November. It takes place in Friendship Park, usually on a Saturday evening, lasting from about dusk until well past sunset. There is a nominal fee, of about $25, but for this, participants are able to taste a wide variety of wines and converse with other wine lovers in the Redington Beach area. Another fun local event is the "Town Wide Yard Sale" which takes place on a Friday and Saturday in late October each year and lasts from 8am until dusk each day. Visitors are welcome and can find many wonderful antiques and novelties for sale throughout the town as they stroll down any of the streets of Redington Beach.
