Discover the magic of Westport and other towns at the midway point of the Rideau Waterway. Only 1 hour from Ottawa and Kingston, 1 1/2 hours from Upper New York State. Here in Ontario east, you can boat, canoe or fish, golf or hike and dine. There are fine boutiques and wonderful antique shops. Canada Day on July 1 is one. Come join the Opening Ceremonies 1 PM at the Westport Museum. The 7th Annual Bicycle Parade follows this at 1:15 P.M. The fun then moves to the Lion's Club Beach at Sand Lake. This year the Westport Antique Show celebrates over 15 years and joins the Rideau 175 years in the festivities celebrating the Rideau Canal where history speaks to you about Saturday, June 7, 2008 10am-5pm.
