Seacrest Beach: An Enclave of Floribbean Culture

This culture is a mixture of old and new, blending the traditional "old South" charm of Florida with tropical elements brought in by immigrants from islands located in the nearby Caribbean. Both Cubans and Puerto Ricans have contributed heavily to Floribbean culture.

Outdoor Activities in Seacrest Beach



Seacrest is well known locally for the natural environment that surrounds it, with sand dunes and coastal scrub forests featuring heavily, along with non-native elements such as the hundreds of live oaks that have been added to the area. The golf course here provides an ideal setting for rounds since instead of being manicured to form a highly unnatural oasis; the natural marshlands in the area have been incorporated into the design of the course.



Other outdoor activities that are popular with tourists and locals include hiking around Camp Creek Lake, which is unusual because most coastal dunes areas do not have lakes nestled in among the crests and troughs of the dunes.
