This beautiful vacation home is located 2 blocks from US 10 in the general area of the city of Lake (Station) Michigan in Garfield Township, Clare County. It is on 49 acre Perch Lake. There is 82 feet of lake frontage with a private dock.

Property Details

If you prefer to fish for Salmon on the bigger lakes, Bay City/Saginaw is just one hour (approximately 45 miles)to the east on Lake Huron and Ludington is one and one half hours away on Lake Michigan to the West. Both are easily accessible by US 10. Hunting: Hunters are also welcome. Northern Michigan bucks are great! Some the best deer hunting (Bow and Rifle) is located nearby in the Mud Lake recreation area. There are hundreds of other acres of State owned land surrounding this area. There is also excellent small game hunting, and excellent Spring/Fall turkey hunting. Hiking and Skiing: There is an extensive hiking trail, The Blue Dot Trail, which goes from the Mud Lake Campground area to the Lost Lake Boy Scout camp. This also doubles as an excellent Cross-Country Skiing trail in the winter. Winter skiing at Snow Snake is about 20 minutes away. Snowmobiling: The home is 1/8 mile from miles and miles of groomed snowmobile trails.

Trails that lead from Central Michigan to the UP. Snowmobile rentals are located within 1 mile of the house. Miscellaneous: There is excellent morel mushroom hunting in the Mud Lake recreation area, as well as in numerous nearby State Land areas in the spring time, all within easy driving distance. There are several local golf courses in the area. Soaring Eagle casinos is just thirty minutes away in Near beautiful Mount Pleasant Michigan. Canoeing, kayaking and tubing are available on the nearby Muskegon river. The City of Coleman (about 10 miles away) has an Antique Car show in June. There are excellent local dining accommodations in Lake (Station) near the house (at Big Al's you have a drink in the middle of Lake Michigan and take home a tee shirt to prove it)and There are other fine eateries in Lake George, Clare, and Harrison, Michigan. This is Amish country. Baked goods, crafts, and wood products (furniture, house building etc) are plentiful.

Amenities:
Super clean home with fully furnished Kitchen (Range, Refrigerator, Microwave and coffee maker), combination Living Room and Dining Room. Bathroom has tube/shower combo. Queen size bed in Master bedroom on first floor. Two twin beds in lower level bedroom. The Family room can also be used as extra sleeping area It has a Futon that can sleep two people. All sleeping areas except family room have dressers for storage. There is a full-sized washer and dryer, in unfinished basement area. Basic Direct TV service is available in the upstairs living room and in the down stairs family room. The Family room TV has a built in DVD player.
Activities:
Perch lake provides Swimming, fishing and recreational boating. You can water ski, Jet Ski etc. There is a paddle boat for those who wish to quietly enjoy the the lake and get some exercise at the same time.

Area:
If you're looking for a quiet time away from it all, this is your best bet. This is a small community, with all the charm of Central Northern Michigan.

Rental Policies

Reservations can be made up to one year in advance. There is a $250 security deposit and a $50 non-refundable cleaning fee. The security deposit will be returned within two weeks after your departure date upon satisfactory inspection of the premises. This $250.00 deposit must be paid a minimum of two weeks prior to your expected check in date.

Personal checks, bank drafts/cashiers checks, money orders and “good ole cash” are accepted forms of legal tender (we plan to accept credit cards in the near future, stay tuned). All reservations paid by check must be paid in full two weeks before your arrival (this means the deposit and the rental fees). Reservations with personal checks that do not clear will be cancelled immediately (unless other arrangements are made) and a $25.00 non-payment fee will be assessed before the check is returned.

Individuals paying by cash can pay rental fees at check in, however, the reservation deposit must still be received one month prior to your vi
Cancellations must be made two weeks before your scheduled stay. Cancellations made after this time date will forfeit their $250.00 deposit. No shows will forfeit any deposit monies paid and any prepaid rental fees. We realize that exceptional circumstances can happen, and are willing to work with you if an emergency, etc. caused your no show.

$550.00 to $700.00 per week
