This luxury cottage is situated in a quiet country lane with lovely views of the rolling hills and the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill, nr Moreton-in-Marsh.
It has a wealth of character. On the ground floor is the kitchen and the lounge/dining area with a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove. Both have exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. There is also an adjoining toilet and utility room.
Upstairs are one double (with 5’ pocket sprung mattress) and one single bedroom, sleeping up to three people (plus baby), with lovely views over the village, and the bathroom with bath and shower-over-bath.
The cottage is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and gas central heating. It also has colour TV’s, Freeview Box with digital radio, DVD player, CD player with radio. There are a wide range of books, more than 120 DVD films, 150 music CDs and many games provided.
There is a payphone and you can get mobile reception (dependent upon your network). There is off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one car and further parking spaces are always available on the road directly by the cottage.
Linen and towels are provided free of charge. A travel cot (no bedding provided) and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. One well behaved dog is welcome (downstairs only) on request, for a small additional charge.
Located in the North Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Hill is ideally situated to act as your central base for visiting the many wonderful sites in the area from Warwick/Stratford-on-Avon to the North, Cheltenham & Bath to the South and the beauty spots of Broadway, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and "The Slaughters", to name but a few, are all nearer to hand.
Local amenities include the renowned gastropub, The Horse & Groom, Village Hall and Bourton House & Gardens. To either side of the village there is farmland, running down to Batsford Arboretum and the Cotswold Falconry Centre. Cotswold Paintballing is also nearby.
The nearest mainline station is in Moreton-in-Marsh, less than 2 miles away, where there are also antique & gift shops, pubs, restaurants (both eat in and take away)/tea rooms and the Co-Op, Budgens (which makes home deliveries) and a Tesco's who also deliver to Bourton-on-the-Hill. Buses run through the village.
