Retreat is about. A secluded, private old farm home that is close to town, but hidden up a winding lane. Hike for hours up on Bluff Mt. Birdwatch. Access the VAST trails. Cross Country ski. Snow shoe. Relax. Write your book. Paint your masterpiece. Get away from it all. This is the place to do it. The house is fully furnished and has 4 bedrooms upstairs, two living rooms, a dining room, kitchen and a nice mud room. Share it with other families. Visit Canada, which is only 14 miles away. Swim or Boat in Island Pond's lake or even nearby Lake Memphramagog. Ski at Burke Mt. or Jay Peak, both only a half an hour away. Visit Brighton State Park. See a moose or two. Bring your canoe or kayak, there are hundreds of miles of water to explore. Use it as a camp for fishing or hunting. Bring your bicycles and ride all day. Photograph nature. Breath fresh air and drink pure water, this is the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, and it doesn't get any better than this. Private tours with local native guides are available. Rental Policies

Rentals paid in cash, money orders or pay-pal up front. No refunds. Smoking allowed but only in designated places. Free wireless internet at our local library in town.

Check in at 4:00pm. Check out at noon. Alternative times can be arranged.
