The town of Coupeville is noted to be the first settlement in the northwest by early American explorers and offers unique historical attractions for all to enjoy. Other than ferry access, Whidbey Island is connected to the mainland at the north end by breathtaking Deception Pass Bridge and it is your stepping off point to the fabulous San Juan Islands which divide the US and Canada in the Pacific Northwest. Visit Whidbey Island once and you will be hooked for life. It will be that habit you will never want to break!
