The Herren House is an 1897 boarding house that has been completely restored and renovated. All six bedrooms have their own bathroom, cable television and heating and air conditioning. Herren House is one block from downtown.

A unique feature of Herren House is its elegant restaurant, open on Thursday and Saturday nights most of the year to its guests and the public (by reservation only). Each week, innkeepers Jenny and Tom Halsey prepare and serve four and five course gourmet dinners that are considered by many to be the finest to be found in the area.
