Property Description

The Chalet is a 2000 Sq Ft home in the exclusive subdivision of Grand Isle in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. All linens are provided and the kitchen is fully equiped. The home backs up to a quiet cove on beautiful Greers Ferry Lake in the Ozark Mountains.

There is a large master suite with private bath. Upstairs is a large loft to sleep 4 comfortably (more with cots). Off the kitchen is another full bath with Jacuzzi tub. The unique Dining table is square and seats 8 with plenty of room for a feast in the middle. The long bar facing the kitchen is 12 feet long and seats 5. A complete laundry room is off the kitchen. Off the back is a huge 15 x 45 foot covered deck. In the carport is a Jeep CJ7 available as an option.

The back yard faces a quiet cove on Greers Ferry Lake. A short walk to the back takes you to the covered boat slips where a 5 person electric pedal boat is waiting for you.

Master Suite
The master suite has 2 Closets and Large Private Bathroom. The Bedroom area has a queen bed with 2 nightstands and a large mirrored closet. The master walks out to the back deck. The Master Bath has a huge walk-in shower, a double sink, and separate toilet stall. Off the bath is also a walk-in closet

Loft
The loft has 2 twin sized daybeds with trundle beds to make 4 twin sized beds. There are also 2 walk-in closets (one on each end) and two nightstands, a stereo system and a coffee table.

Kitchen and Bar
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, silverware, dishes, spices, and more. It includes oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. The Long Bar faces the kitchen and has 5 bar stools.

Dining Room
The dining room has a large square table to comfortably seat eight (Squeeze in twelve)
For additional seating use the adjoining bar which seats five.

Living Room
The cozy living room has an oversized sofa and loveseat with two end tables and a coffee table. The propane fireplace adds some romantic warmth to a cool evening. Also included is an entertainment center with TV, DVD player, Stereo and Karaoke.

Covered Deck
To the rear of the home is a large 15 x 45 foot deck which is completely covered by the main roof. It is a perfect gathering place for a cook out (propane barbque provided), to just relax and enjoy the scenery, or to chat around the propane fire pit.

Optional Jeep CJ7
Just for fun or to make hauling your gear to and from the lake a little easier, choose the optional Jeep CJ7. Fairfield Bay has many miles of undeveloped roads, many of which require 4wd. Explore these trails looking for a great view, find a great picnic spot, or just look for deer and enjoy the bumpy ride. (Must have valid drivers license, full coverage insurance and be over 25 yrs old)

Activities
Greers Ferry Lake is a 40,000 acres and has 350 miles of shoreline. The natural beauty of the lake and shoreline are breathtaking, and the water is crystal clear. It's perfect for all kinds of recreation.

World Class Fishing
Backyard – Grab your fishing pole (or get one out of the shed) walk to the lake and fish off the shore or boat dock.
Peddle Boat – Use the provided 5 person peddle boat in center boat slip. (Don’t forget your life preservers in the shed).

One Man Pontoon – Want to really get away from it all? Wheel the provided one-man fishing pontoon down the hill and use the trolling motor and fish till the sun goes down.

Hire a Fishing Guide – Be sure to catch some big ones and hire a pro. They’ll come pick you up at your dock and take you where the fish are.

Rent a fishing boat – Drive to Fairfield Bay Marina and rent a fishing boat for the day. They’ll set you up with everything you need.

Championship Golf
The climate in Fairfield Bay allows for year round golfing, and the mountainous terrain makes for interesting and challenging courses. There are two beautiful championship golf courses in Fairfield Bay, just a very short drive from the Chalet.

Indian Hills Golf Course (2 min drive)
Indian Hills Country Club is one of Arkansas' best kept secrets for championship golf and world class dining. This challenging 18-hole layout incorporates much of the natural beauty of this area, which is topographically identified as “the foothills of the Ozarks”. To visualize this golf course, picture ravines and gullies, gradual rising slopes and large ponds, dry creek beds and impressive rock cliffs. Notice also the large historic natural cave known as Indian Rock just off to the left of the ninth fairway. Envision each hole as bordered on every side by a forest of pine and hardwood trees rising above bushes and bramble, native grasses and wild flowers. Indian Hills, indeed, is a very natural golf course, a perfect fit for Arkansas, which is known as the “Natural State”.

Mountain Ranch Golf Course (5 min drive)
Mountain Ranch (501-884-3400) is Arkansas’ premier golf retreat with plush playing conditions. The Edmund B. Ault-designed and built course has won the top spot in Arkansas’ Top 10 Public Golf Courses surveyed by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Golf Digest also consistently ranks it Number 1 among public and semi-private courses in Arkansas. A par-5 14th hole with an 80-foot drop from tee to fairway and par-4 15th hole with 395 yards – uphill! – make it a truly exciting course.

Swimming In the Lake
Swim in the lake - Jump off the boat dock and enjoy
the crystal clear waters in the quiet cove behind the house. Or take out the 5 person peddle boat and bring a cooler with some refreshments.

Bring your own boat if your lucky enough to have one or rent a ski boat and toys from Fairfield Bay Marina

Other Boating
Greers Ferry lake is perfect for sailing with plenty of room for everyone. You can rent a pontoon boat from the marina and have a site seeing party on the lake. With your included membership cards, you will get substatial discounts at Fairfield Bay Marina.

Biking
Mountain Biking – bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the miles and miles of undeveloped roads in Fairfield Bay. (Optional - Rent the optional Jeep and haul your bikes to the top and enjoy the ride down).

Road Biking
Bring your bike and enjoy the winding and hilly paved roads

Children’s Bikes (2 provided or bring your own) – Children can enjoy riding their bikes on the quiet street in front of the Cabin

Tennis
Fairfield Bay is privileged to have a state of the art, newly renovated Tennis Center located in the heart of town. The Fairfield Bay Tennis Center features some of the best courts on the state, a full time Tennis Pro, John Paxton, who can help you with your game and help you in locating that new racquet you have been looking for in the Fairfield Bay Tennis Center Pro Shop.

Horseback Riding
Red River Riding Stables is accross the road from the Fairfield Bay Entrance.

Jeep
Add some excitement to your vacation and rent the 4wd Jeep CJ7 parked in the carport. Haul your gear to and from the lake. Look for a nice picnic spot on one of the many undeveloped roads in Fairfield bay (Many require 4wd). Cruise back and forth to the Golf Course in the open air.

Dinner Cruise
The Belle of the Bay, based out of Fairfield Bay Marina is set up for dinner cruises for up to 30 people. Enjoy the lake in a climate controlled environment.

Nature watching
Enjoy the abundance of wildlife. Deer are often seen right in the yard.

Barbeque
Use the provided gas grill for a cookout on the huge deck.

Deck Fire Pit
On a cool night, fire up the propane fire pit in the center of the deck.

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

One time Cleaning and Supplies charge of $100 for each stay.
(Additional maid service available during stay if requested: $80 per full service)

$200 Damage Deposit.
(Fully refundable after home and boats are found in satisfactory condition after stay)
