Two luxury apartments in Le Miccine's original "casa colonica," set amid vineyards in the hills of Chianti.
Le Miccine is a small Tuscan wine estate that also offers, on a limited basis, long-term vacation accommodations in the farm's original "casa colonica," which has been restored and renovated into a fully modern, quietly elegant residence, complete with swimming pool and gardens. Unlike other Tuscan rental properties, Le Miccine boasts modern, safe and ample electricity, water, sewer, and central heat. At the same time, great care has been taken to preserve its Tuscan charm and originality. Divided by floor, the residence can be used as two self-contained units or as a spacious home for a larger family or friends traveling together.
Guest Apartment: Le Miccine's lovely front terrace leads directly into the ground floor gues apartment, which retains typical Tuscan wood-beamed ceilings, cotta floors, and whitewashed walls. The guest apartment feaures a spacious, tastefully furnished living room with fireplace and a large modern kitchen with all appliances, including a dishwasher, as well as ample supplies of china and cookware. The guest apartment may be rented as either a 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit or as a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit, both with queen-size beds. All rooms are large and furnished with fine Tuscan antiques and elegant upholstered pieces. The completely new ensuite bathrooms combine modern facilities with lovely Italian tiles and antique cabinetry.
Owners' Apartment: An iron-gated stairway from the front terrace leads to the open air veranda of the owners' apartment, which overlooks the vineyards and woods of Le Miccine and the medieval Castello di Meleto beyond. The apartment includes a large living room, an equally large dining room with a massive, original Tuscan fireplace, a queen-size bedroom, a second bedroom with twin beds, and two new bathrooms with large showers. The up-to-date kitchen is equipped with full-sized appliances, including a dishwaser, and all required dishes and equipment.
Check-in is between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
