This is in a quiet area, No Wake Zone, deep water swimming, and great fishing opportunities. Ideal for canoeing and kayaking. A boat ramp is just across the way ($5 per put and take).

Besides TV and Cable, there is Wireless Internet access, and a fax machine. There are three covered and lighted boat slips with lifts (one rigged for a pontoon boat) and two fully furnished decks, one of which is over the water. The master bedroom, living room, and kitchen all have a panoramic view of the bay. Sliding glass doors from master bedroom and kitchen allow access to large deck area. A growing collection of books, movies and games are provided. If you are looking for all the amenities and benefits that a well-equipped, attractive, private home on the water can give you, this is the vacation home for you!

Special Notes: Water depth varies from approx. 5 feet at the seawall to 12 feet at the end of the docks to about 20 feet in the middle of the old river channel. Sandy swimming areas are readily accessible by boat on Lake Shafer and by both boat and automobile at the famous Indiana Beach Amusement Park, which maintains a designated beach and water park about two mile from BayView Cottage.

Access from BayView Cottage docks to Lake Shafer is under the Monon Bay bridge about 1/8th mile from the cottage. Clearance under the bridge is 48 inches, which is adequate for most deck boats, runabouts, and fishing boats, and some pontoon boats (most pontoons will not fit). Big boats that will not pass under the bridge can be moored at rental boat slips on Lake Shafer or operated only in Monon Bay and on the Monon river, which extends for several miles and is all designated as a No Wake Area.

Check In at 4pm Check Out by 10am You may request earlier check in times or later check out times. Sunday Check-outs are 9PM!! Extended check-outs on Sunday so you can take full advantage of your vacation time.

Rental Rates

$1,000.00 to $1,400.00 per week

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

Nightly Rates + one time cleaning fee ($75) = Your Total

$225 - Per Week Night, $250 per Weekend Night, $250 for Holidays
$1400 - Per Week (Weekly Rate Includes All fees!)

CANCELATION Policy
Reservations less than twenty-eight (28) days in length require a thirty (30) day cancellation or change notice. Cancellations and changes that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the check-in date will result in the refund of the advance deposit less a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations and changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the check-in date will forfeit one (1) night rent, taxes and fees. Monthly reservations of twenty-eight (28) days or longer require a one hundred twenty (120) day cancellation or change notice. Cancellations and changes that are made more than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the check-in date will result in the refund of the security deposit less a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations and changes that are made within one hundred twenty (120) days of the check-in date forfeit the full security deposit.
The first day of the rental, there will be no refunds for any reason.
No credit will be given for shortened stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason.
No cancellations/refunds due to weather.
Within 4 – 10 Days of your departure, your Security Deposit will be refunded provided there is nothing missing or damaged.
