Located just 7 miles from Niagara Falls and 7 miles from Niagara-on-the-Lake, in a Family oriented campground with a quiet, rural setting. These affordable family vacation accommodations are at the very hub of the Niagara Peninsula.
These One and Two-Bedroom units offer visitors lots of outside area, including a large awning-covered deck, a campfire ring and picnic table.
All units are air-conditioned with a full kitchen and 3-piece bath. The kitchens include range with oven and large refrigerator / freezer and microwave. Cookware, cutlery, dishware, toaster and coffee maker are all included. There is a Queen-size bed in the master bedroom, with 4 single bunks in the second bedroom.
The park amenities include a huge swimming pool, kid’s playground, crafts, movies, arcade room, baseball diamond, basketball court, general store, laundry facilities, hayrides, bingo, and dances.
A short walk or bike ride from the park will bring you to the Mighty Niagara River, home of spectacular vistas, awesome jet boat rides and some of the best freshwater sports fishing in North America.
A 36-mile long paved bike / hiking trail goes right by the front of the park. Going north 7 miles on the trail will bring you to historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. This picturesque town is famous for its turn of the century buildings, horse drawn coaches, antiques, fine restaurants and the Shaw Festival Theater. There is also a fort dating back to the War of 1812 that can be visited.
If a round or two of golf is on your agenda, there are 16 championship golf courses within a 30-minute drive from the park. Hospital, banking and groceries are all available close by. Niagara Falls economical and efficient bus system, the “People Mover”, will take you to all of the major attractions, completely hassle free.
A “must do” on everyone’s list is a ride on the Maid of the Mist. The “Maid” will take you to the very base of the Falls for a spectacular view that you will not soon forget; rain gear is provided.
An opportunity to go behind the falls, take a helicopter ride over the Falls, see the famous Botanical gardens, visit the Butterfly Conservatory and to cross high above the Whirlpool in a cable car are just a few of the things that you can do.
The Niagara area is also famous for its Wine Region. There are 12 wineries within 20 minutes of the park, with most offering guided tours and wine tasting. The Welland Ship Canal is also close by for an interesting look into the operation of making huge ships “climb the mountain”.
Marineland and Game Farm, Canada’s Wonderland, African Lion Safari, thoroughbred horse racing, enjoying a fishing trip on Lake Ontario aboard a charter boat and trying your luck at Casino Niagara are also very popular attractions.
