The cottage is set amidst beautiful countryside approximately 2 miles from the local village of Guern, 10 miles from the historic town of Pontivy and a 45 minute drive from Vannes and 30 minutes to the renown southern coast of Brittany

The accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms one with en suite bathroom, 1 bedroom with a double and single bed and a twin room on the first floor (a Z-bed can be placed on the landing to accommodate 1 more person).

On the ground floor is a large comfortable lounge with wood-burning fire, a dining area and a well-equipped fitted kitchen with washing machine, a second shower room and WC. A cot and highchair can be provided. There is a satellite TV (visitors will need own cards for encrypted channels) and a small library of video feature films and cartoons.

The location is ideal for outdoor pursuits. It is close to 250 acre forest with an abundance of wildlife and many species of bird life, including the magnificent kingfisher.

The property still has many of the original granite buildings, some of which have been utilized for the benefit of the visitors, but still retaining the charm of the country property.

Surrounding the cottage there is approximately 8 acres of meadowland and more formal lawns through which the river Sarre meanders with good trout and pike fishing. The mill leat feeds a large pond in front of the house and whilst swimming and paddling can take place it is advisable to always ensure young children are supervised. Small boats are provided for further enjoyment of the water.

There is ample space for outdoor games too.
A barbecue and garden furniture are provided and there is badminton and petangue.
The latter are shared facilities with MAISON BLANCHE next door which is also available for renting together with THE COTTAGE for large groups.
A 470cm plunge pool is now installed for further enjoyment of the garden.

Changeover day is Sauturday: departure by 10 am; arrival after 4 pm.

Rental Rates

GBP 395.00 to GBP 735.00 per week

Additional Rate and Deposit Information

A Deposit of 25% (non-refundable) is required when booking the property.
The Balance is due 6 weeks prior to commencement date.
