If you are looking for seclusion and serenity, Bay Bluff Cottage is for you. An architect’s dream - the cottage is perched a top a high bluff overlooking Eel Bay on Nova Scotia’s South Shore.

Property Details

Bay Bluff has an open concept design, with floor to ceiling sliding patio doors along the two ocean facing walls. The doors open up to allow a refreshing breeze and the scent of the sea to permeate the cottage. There is a large wood fireplace in the living room – perfect for those romantic evenings. Two sliding patio doors open to a large covered deck, blurring the lines between inside and outside living.

The cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave and coffee maker). All bedroom and bathroom linens are provided. Located on the ground floor, the master bedroom has a queen size bed and floor to ceiling windows. What better way to wake up than to the spectacular view of a cobalt blue bay dotted with small shimmering islands! A four-piece washroom is also located on the ground floor. Upstairs is a loft bedroom with two single beds and a balcony overlooking the bay.

There is a TV / VCR and a tape deck complete with an interesting collection of 1940’s music. Patio furniture and propane BBQ complete the picture and make for comfortable outdoor living. There is also a 2-person kayak for use. (You must sign a liability waiver before using)

Other Amenities include:
· Fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and kettle.
· TV, VCR player.
· Wood burning fireplace.
· Telephone – a phone card is required for long distance calls.
· Deck, BBQ and patio furniture.
· Private Ocean front

Close to Shelburne, with its restaurants, shops and other conveniences, Bay Bluff Cottage is nicely situated to explore the Evangeline Trail, Lighthouse Route and the South Shore. Yarmouth and the Cat Ferry are about an hour away; the UNESCO town of Lunenburg is about an hour and three quarters and Halifax, Nova Scotia's Capital is just 2.5 hours away. The airport is located just outside Halifax.

Rental Policy

Payment Schedule:
A $500 CDN per week non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. The balance plus the damage deposit is due 90 days prior to arrival. Upon receipt of the balance, you will receive a check-in package including detailed information about the property and area. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

Damage Deposit
A damage deposit of $250.00 is due along with any outstanding balance 90 days prior to arrival. The damage deposit will be returned to you within 14 days after your departure, provided there is no damage to the rental beyond normal wear and tear; there is no additional cleaning required and the key has been returned.

Cancellation Policy
Should you wish to cancel your reservation; your cancellation notice must be made in writing - either by fax, email or mail. For cancellations received between 30 and 60 days prior to your arrival date, 75% of the rental fee is forfeited. 30 days prior to the arrival date, 100% of the rental fee is forfeited. In all cases, the damage deposit of $250.00 is refunded in full. Sandy Lane Vacation Rentals will make every effort to re-rent the property, however we cannot guarantee re-rental. No-shows, late arrival and early departures after arrival are all non-refundable.

Saturday to Saturday rental period. Arrival time - after 4 p.m. Departure time - before 10 a.m.
