Our Retreat "Above the Clouds" cabin is a unique home located less than 2 miles from downtown Murphy and three miles from Ingles and Wal-mart BUT you will feel as if your miles from nowhere. For those of you who know Murphy, our cabin is located on the Mountain that looms in front of you as you sit at the light at the corner of McDonald's and highway 64. Our living room area is cozy with a charming rock fireplace, comfortable new couch and recliners and tasteful art work. There are sliders across the whole back of the house for looking out at our long range mountains. The views are truly spectacular!!!!! The kitchen/dining room is airy, cheerful & has everything you will need. The cabin truly is our home away from home and we spend as much time as we can there. Therefore, it has many of our treasures and special touches that we know you will love as much as we do. There are three TV's and dish network service.

WE bought the cabin because we loved having the option of the two decks. The top deck is covered so you can sit out in nearly any weather. It has a new BBQ gas grill, two very comfortable Amish rockers and stools and a small breakfast table. The bottom deck has a great picnic table for six and a swing. We even have picnic supplies. There is no one behind us (except in the far distance) so leave the sliders blinds open all the time if you want. We do.

GREAT care has been taken to make our home cozy and comfortable for you (and us too). The two bedrooms are tastefully decorated as are the bathrooms. Both bedrooms and master bath are on the second floor. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, lots of closet space, beautiful views & TV. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, rustic log headboard, and a desk area for your computer if you decide you must bring one (we have internet access and supply the monitor, mouse and keyboard). Both bedrooms have down filled comforters and the king has a feather bed. There is a phone in both bedrooms as well as the living room. We provide local telephone service but please bring a phone card for your long distance calls.

EVERY season has it’s charm and is especially unique here at our cabin. The property itself sits on nearly an acre with a well established forest of beautiful trees, ferns and wildflowers. There are no neighbors on either side or behind us. Bird watchers love sitting on one of our 2 decks where the many varieties of birds keep the seed and hummingbird feeders active. We have binoculars and a bird book for those of you who are interested.

OUR neighborhood is perfect for spending some time alone. There are views in every direction and at night you can see the lights of Murphy out the front door or from the master bedroom. You are within just a few miles of every thing you need which is a good thing because you may not want to leave the cabin much! Contact Me!

Rental Policies

There is $100 security deposit.
$200 Securtiy deposit if you bring a pet.

Arrival Times

Check in is on Saturdays after 3:00 Check out is on Saturdays anytime before 11:00

$400 is short notice discount.

$120 per night/3 night min.

Pet Fee: $50 per pet, per week.
10 % taxes
