CASA DAKINI is an ideally located, high-quality, comfortable cottage - fully equipped and with views of the Caribbean and surrounding rainforest - just 300 meters from the fabulous beaches of Punta Uva and the Caribe Sur.

Property Details

Seven (7) kilometers away is the nightlife of the buzzy little town of Puerto Viejo and 5 kilometers down at the end of the road, the sleepy and colorful beach village of Manzanillo.

Private, tranquil, secure and set in an acre of lush landscaping, the property is situated 200 feet above beach level, enjoying refreshing breezes, delightful views, and the gentle sound of the ocean. Innovatively and ecologically designed, the cottage is light and airy yet built for strength and the tropical climate, featuring many architectural details and warmly decorated with Spanish tile and French stucco.

If your group is larger than 4, we have a second cottage, EL NIDO, available on the property, with 2 bedrooms/full kitchen/bathroom built to the same high standards. For privacy and security reasons both cottages are only available in combination for same group/same time bookings - El Nido is staffed/occupied by our property managers when not in use by guests.

Two minutes walk from our front gate and you are surrounded by virgin rainforest. The beaches are a 3-4 minute walk downhill - or drive and park right next to the water at one of several spots that are nearly deserted during the week, where the sea is safe for swimming and snorkeling in the reefs just offshore. Monkeys, sloths, toucans and parrots are all regular visitors, and you will wake up each morning to the sounds of rainforest wildlife in all its glory!

The temperature in the Caribe Sur stays between 70-90 all year and, contrary to myth, rainfall is not a constant. Xmas: Dec.22-Jan.2/Easter: Apr.7-17: 1-3 guests = $155/night ~ $930/wk
Additional guest (4 max) Standard $ 25 per night ~ $ 100 per week
CASA DAKINI + EL NIDO Standard rate 1-6 guests = $190 per night ~ $1,140 per week
Xmas: Dec.22-Jan.2/Easter: Apr.7-17: 1-6 guests = $275 per night~$1,650pw
Each Additional guest High Season (8 max) $ 35 per night ~ $ 200 per week
