Pompano Beach is Improving its Beachfront

Pompano Beach is a city along the Atlantic seaboard. Located in Broward County, Florida, Pompano Beach has a little more than 100,000 permanent inhabitants and is situated slightly north of the larger city of Fort Lauderdale. More than five million people live in the greater metropolitan area surrounding Pompano Beach, which means that tourists coming here for summer or winter vacations will find plenty of lively nightlife as well as a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.



Vacation homes in Pompano Beach are readily available to tourists. In fact, according to diverse media outlets including CNN, Money Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal, Pompano Beach provides one of the top real estate markets for the vacation home sector. Part of this is due to an ongoing redevelopment project that is focused on repairing and enhancing the beachfront in the city so that it will live up to its name as a beach city.



There is a Goodyear Blimp called the "Spirit of Innovation" which makes its home at Pompano Beach Airpark. The blimp can sometimes be seen sailing through the clear blue Florida skies. Other famous residents of the city have included a wide array of sports figures and entertainers including Kelsey Grammar, known for his work in situation comedies such as Cheers and Frasier, and Esther Rolle, an actress who came to prominence for her work on the groundbreaking African American television show, Good Times.
