Pembroke Pines is a large city located in Broward County, Florida. With over 150,000 permanent residents, Pembroke Pines is the second largest city in the county and the 11th most populated in all of Florida. It also ranks in the top 200 cities in the United States in terms of population size, which is all the more remarkable because relatively few Americans have heard of the city or considered staying in vacation homes in Pembroke Pines. Pembroke Pines is well worth a trip, however. It has been ranked as one of the finest places in America to live, and it provides just as much for the casual visitor, as evidenced by its 2004 win of the "All America City Award" a designation furnished by the National Civic League and its "outstanding achievement award" in the 2005 City Livability Awards program put on by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Arts and Crafts Festival in the Pines
This festival is put on in early March each year and takes place at the Pembroke Pines City Center located on Pines Blvd. Occupying both Saturday and Sunday, the festival runs from 10am to 5pm each day and features a variety of vendors, artists, and artisans who travel to Pembroke Pines to display the fruits of their artistic labors.
In addition to arts and crafts booths, visitors to the festival can also enjoy fair food booths, art demonstrations, and even a hands-on art area designed specifically for children.
