House 5863, located on the north lake front, is Chicago's new hip place to stay. We are located just steps away from the urban night light, transportation and Chicago's beaches and urban attractions.

Chicago’s Red Line EL stop is only 3 blocks from our front door and the Broadway and Clark bus lines are only 2 blocks away. Getting around Chicago is easy. Pick up a city map located in our common area.

Being walking distance from Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood has a lot of advantages. Restaurants ranging from Italian to Mexican, Swedish to Turkish await you. Small quaint shops and a robust nightlife await you.

Rental Policies

Policy
Reservation Deposit & Cancellation:

All rooms are subject to a 2-night minimum stay for weekend reservations. Single night, week of bookings will be considered based upon availability. All rooms must be reserved in advance and secured by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted). At the time of your reservation, 100% of the cost of your stay (including all applicable taxes) will be billed to your credit card.

All cancellations of reserved rooms are subject to a $25 service charge. Additionally, reservations cancelled at least 15 days prior to arrival date shall be charged 50% of the full scheduled stay unless the room is rebooked. Reservations cancelled within 14 days prior to arrival date shall be charged 50% of the full scheduled stay regardless of the room being rebooked. All “no shows” shall be charged 100% of the scheduled stay. All cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled arrival date shall be considered “no shows.” All cancellations should be in writing and faxed to House 5863, Inc. (773-341-7419) ATT: CANCELLATIONS. Cancellations by telephone, post or email are effective upon receipt and only upon written cancellation confirmation by House 5863, Inc. Any reservation refunds will be made within 10 days of the end of the scheduled stay.

There is no refund for early departure.

All rates and reservations are based upon 1-2 person occupancy. Rates are subject to all applicable taxes. Additional guests are welcome in certain rooms, subject to availability, and are billed an additional $25 per night.
