This lakeside bed and breakfast retreat is located on a peninsula of Lake Hartwell, with a 180-degree view of sparkling open water that is fed by two Carolina rivers. The Federal style home, Shuler Manor, is a newly constructed heirloom-quality home.
The manor is as beautiful and gracious as any Antebellum home of yesterday. You can be warmed in the cold winter months by the manor's massive stone fireplaces, while reading a borrowed book from the estate's library. As the seasons' temperatures rise, a dip in the lake is only steps away. Guests can enjoy refreshing ice cold lemonade under the veranda's ceiling fans while bird-watching or catching up on lost time with loved ones.
The manor house has four spacious guest rooms each with fantastic views of the lake. The foyer opens to common areas including a coffered ceiling game parlor and a great room with its welcoming stone and granite fireplace.
For guests who desire an escape from the city life, without loosing their privacy there is also a separate cottage with private entrances. The cottage, a renovated original to the property, includes three spacious bedrooms, two baths, a great room with fireplace, and dining and kitchen areas... plus lots of decks to enjoy the lakeside views.
Lake Hartwell is a renowned fishing lake where many prestigious bass tournaments are hosted yearly. It is well known for its large-mouth bass, as well as its stripped bass (strippers) which can reach over 60 lbs. Lake Hartwell is also a wonderful destination for crappie and channel catfish fishing. Bring your boat and keep it at our large dock (with power and water), or can utilize a local fishing guide who knows exactly where they're biting.
Peace and serenity surround you at our charming vacation getaway. The property encompasses over two-acres of water front property with beaches and trails to roam. Come escape with us... "Lake Living Style".
We're looking forward to seeing you at Lake Hartwell!
