The house is a raised ranch with 3 bedrooms (King, Queen and Two Twins), 2 full baths, living room, dining area, kitchen and finished ground floor family room with full sized futon.

Property Details

The house is nicely decorated and the kitchen is contains all utensils and appliances. The house has 3 TV’s, 2 VCR’s, 1 DVD and cable with HBO. The renter only needs to bring linens and towels.

Bikes, buggies and beach toys can all be rented inexpensively from nearby rental chains. Several rental marinas are within 3 blocks walk offering hourly and daily rentals for crabbing skiffs, larger motor boats and pontoon party boats. Also in walking distance are parasailing, private fishing charters and large day trip fishing boats, including Miss Barnegat Light, a high speed catamaran. Sunset cruises are offered nightly.

Situated on the North End of Long Beach Island, Barnegat Light is a commercial fishing village that still retains its village feel despite having a large summer population attracted to the best beaches on LBI. The house is on 5th Street, only 4 blocks from the Lighthouse State Park, one block from the beach and half a block from the bay. Three restaurants, one deli and numerous shops are in easy walking distant, but do not intrude on the peacefulness of the house surrounded by native holly trees. Many guests like to walk to the inlet under Old Barney to fish off the jetty, watch the sunset over Barnegat Bay or simply buy a cup of coffee and read the paper by the inlet in the mornings as the fishing fleet heads out to sea.

In the southern half of the Island, visitors will find more commercial activity including Fantasy Island Amusement Park, miniature golf course galore even more shopping and dining opportunities. Atlantic City is only one hour away by car, and several boats depart daily from Beach Haven to Atlantic City. Attractions further south include Ocean City and its Boardwalk, historic Cape May and the surprisingly good Cape May Zoo. A half-dozen golf courses are within 45 minutes from the island including the top ranked Seaview and the surprisingly good municipal course in Manahawkin. After a days activities away from 5th Street, however, most folks are happy to return to the relative calm of Barnegat Light. In fact, most visitors never stray far from the beach during their entire stay.
