Just as there is a "Kansas City" in Missouri, so too is there a "Nevada City" in California. The town is located in the eastern section of the state, high in the mountains and surrounded by coniferous forest that provides tourists staying in holiday rentals in Nevada City with a rich selection of hiking trails that lead to various lakes and summits. About 3,000 people live in Nevada City, a population that has remained relatively stable for about a hundred years.
