Four hundred feet from the ocean shore is a home away from home close to a beautiful Maui beach. Six miles of beaches are but a block from this lovely two bedroom private cottage. Old Hawaiian families have lived in this charming neighborhood long before the first hotels made the beaches of South Maui an exciting destination. This lovely two bedroom private cottage and the gorgeous studio introduce you to the local style of life beyond the resort boundaries, but not without the amenities.
Imagine:
You have arrived. A spa sits ten feet from your spacious private lanai in a courtyard where a fountain splashes and the BBQ is always ready. As you relax surrounded by lush palms and tropical plants with the largest red Poinciana tree in Kihei towering over the courtyard, you finally feel you are on Maui.
You notice the décor is one of local island style with lots of rattan, wicker, Hawaiian art, orchids and comfy pillows. The fans quietly whirl overhead; you hear the birds coo and whistle. The sun is setting down at the end of your block; you grab the beach chair in your closet and a drink, and walk down to watch the Maui sunset.
In the morning you may choose from golf, (the closest one mile up the road, five more courses a few miles away,) snorkeling, (another mile the other way.) or perhaps some tennis in the park a block away; or maybe you will rent a Harley, snorkel or take some surfing lessons. You realize that you don’t really need to drive to get around Kihei. You can walk or bicycle as all the shops, activities, and many award winning restaurants are close by. .
The rooms feel airy and cool. You have two private entrances, nine foot high ceilings, air conditioning, fans, cable TV, phone, washer dryer, and dishwasher, two televisions,VCR/DVD, CD player, hair dryer, microwave, blender and other appliances. It is very well equipped.
You have also found chairs, mats, cooler, boogie boards, and beach towels for your beach excursions. You were not looking forward to having to shop for these things that you would not be taking home with you! It even has a private driveway which only you and the guest in the Studio will use! Now you are ready to have a real vacation.
