Great cabin located on Little Mirror Lake in private gated community. Swim from your back yard or take a canoe ride. Throw in the fishing line and catch dinner. This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath that can sleep up to 8 people. Flat panel TV, TV in upstairs bedroom that has the futons, gas log fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, & all linens. Relax on the deck and enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. Central heat/air and fans. In this subdivision there is also a public beach area, coverd picnic pavillon, waterfall, hiking trail, and river access for tubing or fishing. Boat rentals located at the Lake Lure Marina. With the area's mild climate and beauty, this home can be enjoyed throughout the year. In springtime there is the blooming of the dogwood, azaleas as well as the rhododendron and mountain laurel. Summer brings greenery, warm summer breezes and the autumn colors are extraordinary. Winters are mild and, with less tree obstruction, views are beautiful. Just 55 minutes away is Asheville with shopping malls, The Biltmore Estate and just another 45 minute drive you can go to Cherokee to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. At Biltmore you can tour the mansion and winery, and at Christmastime enjoy the beautifully decorated trees and lights. Biltmore Village is home to many unique shops and, according the Food Network Channel, one of the most beautiful McDonald's restaurants in the world. In Asheville you may want to tour the Grove Park Inn especially at Christmas to see all the Gingerbread Houses that are featured on the Food Network. This area of North Carolina caught the attention of Hollywood years ago. A number of movies have been filmed in Asheville and at the Biltmore Estate. Chimney Rock Park is where The Last of the Mohicans was filmed. This a perfect place to spend the day hiking and admiring the magnificent views. Dirty Dancing, My Fellow Americans, Firestarter, and A Breed Apart were filmed at Lake Lure. As National Geographic's pick as one of the top ten most beautiful man-made lakes in the world, no wonder Lake Lure has been a popular filming site. Several commercials have also been filmed here in the area.
