Places to Eat in Avila Beach, California

Avila Beach is a coastal community located in San Luis Obispo County. This places it about 200 miles to the south of San Francisco and slightly more than 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Because of this central location, holiday rentals in Avila Beach allow tourists to enjoy the local area, but can also serve as a launching point for visiting the state's biggest and most famous metropolitan areas.

Avila Beach is heavily focused on tourism and has many interesting restaurants where visitors can eat and relax as they watch the surf or plan their next day's activities. The Avila Grocery Mercantile and Deli, for example, is a two-storey food market that also includes an area for seated dining.

The Custom House

A more conventional dining experience can be found in the Custom House, which is located on Front Street in Avila Beach. The cuisine that predominates here is American with an emphasis on fresh California cuisine. Outdoor seating is available, but unlike such seating in many restaurants, at the Custom House it is heated for guests' comfort, making it possible to even breakfast outside even when the temperature dips in the winter. A full bar is available and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Fat Cats Caf

Located in nearby San Luis, Fat Cats Caf also specializes in American cuisine and is open for all three meals each day. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. One of the hallmarks of this eatery is the lovely scenery that can be viewed through the windows or enjoyed directly by dining outdoors.
