The apartment benefits from its own exclusive parking space within the Castle grounds. The complex has generous beautifully laid out gardens, which also contain a communal swimming pool & tennis court. In addition to the stunning views of the sea , the apartment benefit from its own private garden & a well shaded patio immediately adjacent to the garden.

Mobile air conditioning units are installed during the summer months in the 2 bedrooms and the living room. In addition to the stunning views of the sea , the apartment has the benefit of its own exclusive garden and a well shaded patio (with steps down to the exclusive garden), where you can sit in the morning to have your breakfast, or eat your lunch at mid-day, or sip an Italian cocktail in the evening.

he Castello Devachan was purchased in 1890 by the English Count Orazio Savile of Mexborough. The elder Lord Mexborough acquired the castle to live there with his young spouse Lady Ivy, despite his age of 75 years. The Count of Mexborough had become a Buddhist after having lived in India for thirty years, it was he who named the Castello Devachan. Before it was called Villa Silvia Mexborough, after his first wife.

A little history of the Castello & San Remo info On April 19, 1920, the First World War Allies leaders, working through the League of Nations, gathered at the Castello Devachan in San Remo, Italy to carve up Turkey and parts of the Middle East. With the last dusk of the International Peace Conference, the conferees granted France the mandate for both Syria and Lebanon. The British received the mandate for Iraq, and also Palestine, under a provision creating a Jewish homeland. The Allied prime ministers meeting at the Castello Devachan in San Remo discussed a number of territorial problems, including the general framework of the Turkish peace treaty. The Allies agreed to leave the Fiume question up to the governments of Italy and the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. The delegates also considered ways of disposing of Class A mandates. Under the League of Nations system, Class A mandates were in the final stages of preparation for independence. A famous American painter has painted a large canvas of the Conference.

Seasonal rates apply during the year, starting at EURO 1200 per week in the Low Season to EURO 2750 in the Peak Season. Email us for full details of our rates. We accept ALL MAJOR CREDIT & DEBIT CARDS by telephone, fax or post. You can make and pay for your booking on-line at out automated Reservations Web site. Please email for more details. Alternatively payments can be made by Bank WIRE transfer (SWIFT) in EUROS. All credit card payments are subject to a 3% Bank handling charge.
The price excludes the following - Security deposit - Euro 750.00. There is a final cleaning charge of EURO 100 and a Meet and Greet Fee of EURO 85. A weekly laundry/linen hire fee of EURO 35 per person is payable to cover the washing, laundering and ironing of linen, towels etc. (You are however welcome to bring your own bedlinen and towels, and then of course the laundry fee would not be payable). WiFi ADSL is available as an optional extra at a cost of EURO 50.00 per week. Our local representative will carry out a check out inspection to ensure that there have been no breakages or damage, and in order for the Security Deposit to be returned to you.
The price includes - The use of the private garden, communal swimming pool, private terrace, communal tennis court, communal boules pitch, international satellite TV, use of the DVD library in the apartment, and the use communal garden, the services of our local property manager, who is available to assist with arranging sightseeing, giving advice about where to eat out, what to see and what to do, and to deal with any minor problems that might occur, and the central heating in the winter months. Regular garden maintenance by our private gardener is also included. We welcome LONG LETS, over 4 weeks stay, during the Low and Mid Season months. We have special discounted rates for such rentals. An allowance of EURO 25 per week for electricity consumption is included in the rental paid - anything in excess will be deducted from the Security Deposit after departure.
